| The Odeon Theatre began twenty-five years ago when Antoine Zard decided to convert a Carpentry into a theatre. But it has been known as a children theatre for almost many years when Gisele Hachem Zard began her professional career for children. During the war, she began her experience with students (actors) in a building room trying to put a smile on a Childs’ face, this hole work was done in order to be presented on special occasions. |

| But after the war stopped children were more engaged into their studies more than anything else, so she began her first Professional play in “Haraki Baraki” with theatre students… it was a very successful work which attracted all the educational community such as school because at the same time it was an educational and funny … |

| Since the first experience has developed into what critics have called "the best theatre." Over the years many of its productions have been named among the 'top list' theatre plays in the region. Not only does it draw audiences from near and far, but it also fills the role of a community-based theatre company by casting actors. |

Since then, Each & Every year, The Staff work during the summer doing everything from acting to carpentry and costume designing to ushering and stage-managing to prepare the play. The summer season demands a great deal of work from these company members who work or rehearse most days and perform or operate productions in the evening, to be presented in the beginning of the coming year. |
